Intended use
Same inner dimensions as the E and SKA configurations: 3.56 m long, 1.75 wide and 2.35 high, with two 87 cm places. The K configuration adds 35 kg of unladen weight, which comes off the payload and leaves it at 1,265 kg. That remains enough for two adult medium horses with their competition equipment.
Build
Latest-generation Portax chassis with independent suspension, completely redesigned from the previous series. Independent suspension absorbs bumps wheel by wheel and reduces the lateral roll that forces a horse to correct constantly with its legs. On journeys over an hour, the difference shows at unloading.
Licence and towing vehicle
The 2,400 kg gross weight puts a category B licence out of reach except with a 1,100 kg vehicle. With B96 the combination reaches 4,250 kg and takes a towing vehicle up to 1,850 kg gross; with B+E, up to 3,500 kg of vehicle. Before deciding, look at section F.1 of your car's registration document: that is the figure that counts, not the kerb weight.
Equipment
Central partition and independent-suspension chassis, as standard. If you want maximum payload at these same dimensions, the E and SKA configurations offer 35 kg more. Front chest, extra ventilation, spare wheel and exterior finish are settled at order time with the manufacturer's lead time.
