What permission do I need?
It depends on the sum of the maximum authorized mass of your car and that of the trailer. Up to 3,500 kg is worth the B permit. Up to 4,250 kg requires the B96, which is obtained with seven hours of training and without a theoretical exam. Above, or with any three or four-seater trailer, the B+E is required, with a practical exam.
In addition to the permit, your towing vehicle has a maximum towable mass declared in the technical data sheet. That number rules: even if the permit enables it, it cannot exceed what the manufacturer authorizes.
Do I have to take care of the registration?
No. We present the documentation to Traffic, pass the first technical inspection and place the license plate before delivering the vehicle to you. Registration tax, where applicable, is included in the advertised price. You only sign the purchase and sale contract.
How often do you have to pass the MOT?
Trailers with a maximum authorized mass of more than 750 kg undergo their first inspection two years after registration, then every two years up to ten years, and annually thereafter.

What payload do I really need?
Two 550 kg saddle horses add up to 1,100 kg, to which we must add chairs, blankets, buckets and water. As a reasonable floor, look for 1,300kg payload for two seats.
Underneath, the trailer is approved the same, but you travel to the limit on each outing. And the limit is paid on the scale.
Polyester or aluminum?
Polyester insulates better from heat and takes blows without denting, but it weighs more. Aluminum subtracts between 80 and 150 kg, which are transferred entirely to the useful load, and in exchange it transmits more temperature unless it is a sandwich panel with an insulating core.
The weight difference only matters if your towing vehicle has just the towable mass. With 400 kg of margin, aluminum is giving you an advantage that you will not use.
Do you sell to professionals and clubs?
Yes. Indicate the company name and CIF in the "Company" field of the order form: the invoice is issued with these details and VAT is deductible.
